VisitsTracker vs Repsly
Repsly is built for retail execution: merchandising teams, in-store compliance, promotion execution and shelf image recognition. If you are a CPG brand managing retail, that is purpose-built and we are not.
Competitor claims are taken from their own published documentation, dated below.
The short version
Which of us you should buy.
Straight answer
If your field team exists to execute in stores for a consumer brand, buy Repsly: shelf image recognition and promotion compliance are theirs and we have no equivalent. If your field team visits places and somebody eventually asks you to prove it, we do that for any industry, at a published price you can start today.
Where they win
Where Repsly is the better choice.
Leading with this because a comparison that finds no merit in the alternative is marketing, and gets read that way.
Shelf image recognition
Photographing a shelf and getting a machine reading of what is on it is a genuinely hard problem and a core part of their product. We store photographs; we do not interpret them.
Retail execution as a discipline
Promotion execution, planogram compliance and in-store tasks are modelled properly rather than approximated with a checklist.
Built for the CPG brand
Their whole product assumes a brand managing third-party retail, which is a specific and well-understood buyer with specific reporting needs.
Territory Advisor and retail insights
Analytics aimed at deciding which stores are worth the visit, which is upstream of anything we do.
Side by side
The difference, in one table.

“Not published” means we could not find a public claim either way, not that the feature is absent. Ask them, and treat our unsourced rows the same way.
01 · Where the line is
They read the shelf. We record the visit.
Image recognition on a shelf photograph is the hard, valuable thing Repsly does. We do not do it, and a checklist is not the same answer.
- If planogram compliance is the job, this comparison ends here and you should buy theirs.
- If the question is whether the store was visited, for how long, and by whom, that is ours.
- Photos on our side are stamped with time and position, but they are evidence, not analysis.
02 · Vertical or general
A retail product, and a record that does not care
Repsly assumes retail. That assumption is what makes it good, and it is also what makes it the wrong shape for a team that is half merchandising and half something else.
- Our customers run merchandising, facilities, cleaning, care and field sales on the same workspace.
- Sites are drawn or imported once, whatever they happen to be: a store, a depot, a house.
- You are not paying for a retail workflow you do not use.
03 · Starting
One of these you can have running this afternoon
Repsly does not publish a price and does not offer a free trial. That is a normal enterprise motion; it is also a month before you learn anything.
- Trial without a card, price on the page, set up in an afternoon.
- Import your store list from CSV and the boundaries are drawn for you.

Straight answers
Questions people ask.
Does VisitsTracker do image recognition?
No. Photographs are stored with the time and place they were taken, and a person reads them. If you need a machine reading of shelf compliance, Repsly is the product for that.
Is this suitable for merchandising teams?
Yes, for the attendance and evidence half of it: which stores were visited, for how long, with what photographed. Not for planogram scoring.
Does Repsly publish pricing?
Not at the time of writing, and their pricing page states there is no free trial. You will need to talk to them for both.
We do merchandising and other field work. Which fits?
If merchandising is most of what you do and compliance scoring matters, theirs. If your team does several kinds of visit and you mainly need to prove them, ours covers all of it on one workspace.
Can we use both?
Some brands do, with Repsly for retail execution and us for the wider field team. They do not conflict, but we would question paying for two if one covers it.
