VisitsTracker › Job scheduling
Job scheduling and dispatch for engineers
Assign the work, set a window, and let the day order itself from live positions. Jobs close on the work being done, not on someone remembering to tick a box.
No card needed. Set up in an afternoon.
What you get
Send the work, then see what happened to it
A board: assigned, en route, done
One view of the day’s work and where each job has got to. Cancelled jobs stay visible rather than disappearing.
Time windows, and an alert when one slips
Give a job a slot. If it has not started by the end of it, you hear about it while you can still do something.
Recurring jobs
Weekly and monthly calls repeat on their own, with the due date moving as they go. You are not rebuilding the same round every Monday.
Checklists that gate completion
A job with an unfinished checklist cannot be marked done. The checklist travels with the job and ends up in the completion PDF.
Day plans from live position
Order the remaining jobs from where someone actually is, not from where they started.
Nearest free worker
For an emergency, see who is genuinely closest — based on readings we trust, so a faked position cannot win the job.
Plan vs actual
Compare the day you sent out with the day that happened. The gap is usually the interesting part.
Proof of completion
A PDF per job with the checklist, the photos and the signature, made the moment the job closes.
How a job actually closes
A job is marked done when the work is finished and a visit at that site backs it up on the same day. That is why the board can be trusted at a glance — “done” is not just someone’s tap.
Straight answers
Questions people ask
Can I repeat a weekly job?
Yes. Set a job to recur and it is created again on schedule, with its due date moving forward. Duplicates are prevented, so a missed run does not produce two.
How does a job close?
The work has to be finished — including any checklist — and there has to be a visit at that site on that day. Both, not either.
Can I see who is nearest to an emergency?
Yes, based on the latest reading we trust for each person. Someone whose phone is reporting a fake position is excluded rather than ranked.
What happens if a job misses its window?
You get an alert once the window closes without the job starting, so it is a live problem rather than something you find on Friday.
Can I add my own fields to a job?
Yes — your own typed fields on jobs, sites and visits, including file attachments. Changes to them are recorded rather than overwritten.
