VisitsTracker vs Housecall Pro
Housecall Pro is a home services business in a box, used by a very large number of US contractors: booking, dispatch, estimates, invoicing, payments and marketing. We are one narrow part of a day it already covers, and we do that part differently.
Competitor claims are taken from their own published documentation, dated below.
The short version
Which of us you should buy.
Straight answer
If you run a home services business and need scheduling, invoicing and payments in one place, Housecall Pro is built for you and we are not an alternative to it. If your work is recurring multi-site attendance that somebody eventually disputes, that is a different problem and it is the one we solve.
Where they win
Where Housecall Pro is the better choice.
Leading with this because a comparison that finds no merit in the alternative is marketing, and gets read that way.
The whole business, not one record
Booking, dispatch, estimates, invoicing, payments, review requests and marketing. We do none of it.
Scale and track record
Their site cites more than 200,000 pros. An established product at that size has been tested in ways a new one has not.
Consumer-facing workflow
Online booking, appointment reminders and review collection are built around a homeowner as the customer, which is a different job from proving attendance to a commercial client.
Payments in the same place
Getting paid on the doorstep is most of the value for a home services business, and it is not something we touch.
Side by side
The difference, in one table.

“Not published” means we could not find a public claim either way, not that the feature is absent. Ask them, and treat our unsourced rows the same way.
01 · Who the customer is
A homeowner and a facilities manager want different things
A homeowner wants an appointment window, a text when you are coming, and a card machine. A facilities manager wants to know that all forty sites were attended this month.
- Housecall Pro is built around the first, and builds it well.
- We are built around the second: coverage, duration and evidence across a portfolio.
- If your customers are homeowners, this comparison probably ends here.
02 · One appointment or a round
The shape of the work decides the tool
One appointment at one address is a job. Seven sites a night, every night, is a round, and a round is measured by coverage rather than by completion.
- Coverage against the site list, per period, with the sites nobody reached at the top.
- Duration per site against the time the contract specifies, flagged when short.
- The same worker across many sites in a day, with travel between them measured.
03 · What we do not do
No booking, no invoicing, no payments
This is a short list on purpose, and it is why the product costs what it does and installs in an afternoon.
- We do not schedule appointments for consumers or send booking reminders.
- We do not quote, invoice or take payment, and that is not on the roadmap.
- We keep the record of what happened at a place, and make it hold up afterwards.
Straight answers
Questions people ask.
Is VisitsTracker an alternative to Housecall Pro?
For most home services businesses, no. They run the business; we record and prove visits. The overlap is small and we would rather be clear about that.
When would a home services business add this?
When a chunk of the work is commercial and recurring, and a client starts asking for evidence of attendance across their sites rather than an invoice per job.
Does Housecall Pro publish pricing?
Not as a simple tier list at the time of writing. Their pricing page takes you through your industry, size and goals and then presents a plan, so you will need to run it.
Do you take payments?
No, and we do not plan to. If getting paid at the door is the problem, Housecall Pro solves it and we do not.
