The app on the van

A tracking app that workers resent gets uninstalled, disabled, or left in the glovebox.

MobileWorkers

01 · Bounded

Off-shift is refused at the server

Not switched off in the app, where a manager could flip it back.

  • Set the days and hours. Outside them, fixes are refused and never stored.
  • A persistent notification stays up the whole time recording is active and cannot be swiped away.
  • If it is not there, nothing is being recorded.

02 · Symmetry

Workers see exactly what you see

Counted, not summarised. Not a reassuring paragraph, a number.

  • How many readings, visits, punches, photos and flagged readings are held about them.
  • They can export all of it themselves, without asking permission.
  • In a dispute about unpaid hours, that same record backs them up.

Export my record → the whole thing, without approval.

03 · No signal

Basements are a normal condition

Not an error state, and not a fraud signal.

  • Punches, notes and readings wait on the phone and upload with their real times, in order.
  • So a late upload cannot reshuffle a day.
  • Site access notes and the gate contact work offline, which is where they are needed.

04 · Battery, honestly

It uses more than a weather app

This is a high-accuracy tracker. Two things keep it sensible.

  • It goes quiet when somebody stops moving, and stops entirely outside shift hours.
  • Most complaints turn out to be the phone's own power saver killing the app.
  • A screen tells a worker which setting on their make of handset is responsible.

A dying phone is tomorrow's gone-dark alert.

05 · Lone working

SOS reaches everyone who can see them

Held behind a confirm step, and never batched.

  • Emails every owner, admin and manager above that worker, raises it in the console, posts to your webhooks.
  • Carries a link a responder can open without an account.
  • Gone-quiet fires once per shift if a phone stops reporting after clock-in.

Alerting inside your own team. Not a monitored alarm service.

Honest limits

What it does not do.

Worth knowing before you buy, not after

Android and iOS. Tracking runs during your collection window only. SOS and gone-quiet alerts reach your own managers, not a manned response centre.

Straight answers

Questions people ask.

Can a worker see their own data?

Yes, counted rather than summarised, and they can export all of it themselves without approval.

Does it track people after work?

No. Outside the hours you set, fixes are refused at the server and never stored.

What if there is no signal?

Everything queues on the phone and uploads in order when signal returns, carrying the real times.

How do staff join?

With a one-time code and a phone number. No work email is required.

Try it on one van for a week.

Put it on one phone, run a normal week, and see what comes out the other end.
